Lenten Devotional Submission Form

Presbyterian Women have published a Lenten Devotional for many years. Devotions are contributed by our members, and members and friends of First Presbyterian Church. A printed booklet will be available the week of Ash Wednesday, February 17, 2010. The devotional will also be available one day at a time, online at http://pw-lenten-devotional.blogspot.com/ and we will be sending the daily devotions by email to a list of subscribers (subscribe here) - if you are a member of Presbyterian Women and receive their emails, you will automatically receive the Daily Lenten Devotional.

Each devotion should consist of these parts:

  1. A title (optional)
  2. A scripture reference (required)
  3. A meditation or story (required)
  4. A prayer (required)

If you need help finding that half-remembered bible passage, this site has the ability to search the bible for words or phrases.

We also need your name and email or phone number, so we have a way of identifying you - we cannot accept anonymous submissions. Since our print space is limited, we may not be able to print-publish every devotion that is submitted. Devotions that are more than 400 words may be too long to fit on a printed page, but could be included in our online and emailed devotional.

Although we would prefer to receive your submission in digital form (emailed to ieposton-at-juno-dot-com or through this form), you may also drop off a printed copy of your devotion in the main church office.

The deadline is January 20, 2010

NOTE: If you need more space in a text area, there is a tiny grey bar at the bottom of the area that can be dragged down to increase the space.

We need your name so we can credit your submission.

We need an email address and/or a phone number so we may contact you. If you don't want to leave your email address, please just leave something that looks like an email address but be sure your phone number is correct.

We need your email and/or phone number so we can contact you about your submission.

A title for your Lenten Devotion is optional.

Please include as Scripture Reference the Bible passage's Book, Chapter, and verse number.

Please paste or type here the actual words of the Scripture Passage that you would like to use. You can find several bible translations here (opens in a new browser window).

Please share any thoughts, ideas, notes, comments, questions here.
